A VERY COMPREHENSIVE MANUAL Having always had PCs, I purchased my first Mac this December. Encouraged by the intuitive nature of Apple products, I was able to use the device adequately at the first sitting. But I was then intrigued by what else I might do with my Mac. The public library offered various books concerning older IOS and I found these inadequate in moving me forward in using my new toy.Thus, I was happy to be able to order this "hot off the press" book.I was amazed-- and admittedly-- a bit intimidated by its size.But the manual, like the Apple device, is user friendly. So far, I have found it most useful as a reference. The chapters are well named and some information is given in supplementary boxes so that new users are kept up to speed.So far, this is a singularly helpful reference. I hope to read it in its entirety as time allows.Superb book but defective packing. The book is superb but the package I received was defective as it was soft leaving the heel of the book partially damaged. This is the second time that I purchased a book with the same complication. I purchased other books from amazon without this problem as the package was hard enough to protect the book inside.Great Reference Guide I find Davis Pouge's Missing Manuals a much faster way to solve my "how do I" questions with all my Apple equipment. The online Apple menus usually present too many options to review in order to accomplish a task. MacOS Mojave is a timely addition to my library of Pouge Manuals.
